Putting Healthier Options on the Table

by Brixx Wood Fired Pizza on March 21, 2012 – 2 Comments

Recently, RGMT Magazine spoke with us about the myth that healthier food lacks taste, even though 34% of restaurant-goers say healthy food is an important factor in selecting a family restaurant. We were thrilled to talk about it. You can read the article here.

Salads and vegetarian items have been part of the Brixx menu from day one. From the beginning, we wanted to be a place where salad and other cuisine was just as important a component of our menu and our personality as our pizza. Thankfully, you’ve agreed and given us amazing feedback.

Over the years, we’ve proudly added whole wheat, gluten-free and vegan options. (In fact, both our traditional and whole wheat crusts are vegan.) And, we’ll continue to look for dietary options and healthier options as our menu evolves. Thanks for all your support.

Whew! It’s been a busy time for us lately … but “good” busy. Really good.

Our second Brixx in the Nashville, TN area opened on August 31 in the McEwen Building in Cool Springs. Owned by operating partners Marc Hanmer and Al Bridges, this location has all the brick oven flavor of Brixx along with a side order of Music City Style. Live music will be a regular occurrence here, as well as daily drink specials and plenty of community involvement. Click here for the Brixx-Cool Springs page.

On September 19, Brixx opened in a brand new building in Gastonia, NC. This is the sixth Brixx in the Charlotte area and the first franchise here. Owned by Don Thrower and managed by Mark Labuskas, Brixx-Gastonia is conveniently located just off I-85 S on Cox Road, across from the new Target and less than a mile from Gaston Memorial Hospital. The outdoor patio has an illuminated floor … ideal for a hot pizza and a cold draft beer on an Autumn evening. Click here for the Brixx-Gastonia page.

Tastiest. School Fundraiser. Ever.

by Brixx Wood Fired Pizza on August 16, 2011 – 1 Comment

Hard to believe, but the school year is upon us. And, with it, all the familiar extracurricular activities of Autumn … homework, football, festivals … and fundraising. We can help you with that last one.

Contact your neighborhood Brixx about scheduling a Brixx Buxx Night for Education. We’ll work with you to determine a night that works for you and for us. And, we’ll help you design flyers you can distribute to your invite list.

On the night of the event, we’ll donate $3 for every 10” pizza and $1 for every kids pizza to your school or class on behalf of everyone who completes and hands in the flyer.

Eat pizza. Generate donations. It doesn’t get much better than that.

At Brixx, we we’re all about equality. So, we’re proud to offer all of our pizzas on gluten-free dough for an additional $2. Here’s a link to an ingredient sheet on our gluten-free dough.

As for our gluten-free toppings, all of our veggies are gluten-free. But, many of our proteins and cheeses you may not realize are also gluten-free. Below are just a few of our classic Brixx pizzas whose ingredients you don’t have to alter to make gluten-free when ordered on our gluten-free dough (Want to see our full menu? Click here):

  • Americo
  • Hawaiian
  • Spicy Shrimp
  • Barbecue Chicken
  • Roasted Chicken
  • Greek
  • Margherita
